Double Chocolate Cheesecake!

Hey Lovelies
Not many of you may know that along with beauty and fashion another one of my loves is cooking. I took catering during GCSE's and realised how much I loved making something out of nothing (even when it didn't turn out to great!) I loved bringing the food I made home and seeing my family and friends reaction and for a period of time I actually considered pursuing catering as a career.
Cooking is the only time I feel completely clear and calm, the only time I think about nothing else apart from how many eggs I need, and so last night while I was sat stressed at work I decided to stop on the way home and pick up the ingredients for my go-to dessert. I love making this cheesecake, its so quick and simple and more importantly delicious, defiantly my secret indulgence and chocolate fix!

Ingredients

175g digestive biscuits
50g butter
300g cream cheese
200g mascarpone
300g milk chocolate
100g dark chocolate
a little hint, using good quality chocolate with a high cocoa content really makes the dessert!

Recipe

- Start by crushing the biscuits and mixing them with the melted butter, the press the biscuit mix into a baking tin.

- Mix the cream cheese with the mascarpone in a bowl, I find using the back of a spoon the easiest way.

- Melt the milk and dark chocolate separately and fold the milk chocolate into the cream cheese mix.

- Stir in the dark chocolate until you have a marbled effect and spoon the mix into the tin.

- Leave the cheesecake to chill for two hours or over night and voila!

Not the prettiest of deserts but by far the tastiest!

Thank you for reading! Let me know if you guys don't mind this style of post and I promise my next post will be beauty related!

Review - Soap&Glory Body Scrub

I picked up the Sugar Crush Body Scrub (£8.00) from Boots around 6 months ago and haven't looked back since! Before this scrub I hadn't really been into exfoliation as I never really knew what it did and what the results were. But around christmas time my skin hit an all time dry spell when I went away and no amounts of moisturiser seemed to be helping. I ran straight to boots the second I got home and found myself in the Soap&Glory isle. First of all I love the packaging its very girly and cute (probably why I was drawn to the isle, I'm a sucker for cute) I loveeee sweet fruity smelling products and this smells amazing! As soon as you open the lid the smell just whooshes out.
The scrub alone isn't too harsh of an exfoliator and because its sugar instead of salt is great for those with sensitive skin, and can be used every other shower to give your skin some time to recover, however I have a bad habit of snoozing my alarm in the mornings and having to jump in and out the shower in a flash, meaning I only get the odd time when I have time for a little pamper session. So a few weeks later I went back to Boots and picked up the exfoliating gloves (£4.00) which I now use along with the scrub. This works much better for me and my hectic schedule as the gloves combined with the scrub give a great exfoliation and then I give my skin about a week to recover so I don't over-exfoliate.
Since I've been using the scrub and gloves I've noticed hugee changes in my skin especially on my legs (which were my worst hit areas) My skin is left smooth and soft. Exfoliating also helps retain my tan for longer as all the dead skin cells have been scrubbed away. Its also said that exfoliating can improve the appearance of dimpled skin from cellulite and although I haven't seen huge changes on that front even the small changes are an added bonus.
My overall review is I love this scrub combined with the glove, it works well for me and my routine and does a brilliant job. I will 100% be repurchasing this product. In short, it ticks all the boxes!

Thank you for reading! Keep leaving your lovely comments and questions, until next time!

The Body Shop Haul!

Hey Lovelies!

Hope you guys are all aright! Just a quick thank you before we delve in for all your lovely comments and support, keep them coming, they make my day! Anyway onto the post! The Body Shop are doing a brilliant 3 for 2 offer on all skincare at the moment (they've also got some awesome online offers too!) and even though I only went in there for 1 thing, I came home with 3... oops!

During my daily blog read I stumbled across a post on Stacey's blog about The Body Shops Vitamin E Eye Cream. Ive never used an eye cream as part of my skincare routine before, but my routine is going through a bit of a re-vamp and now is a great time to be in some new products! I've only used this product a few times and  I'm planning on doing a more in depth review in my upcoming skin care routine post. But my initial response is good, It smells great and a little goes a long way so I know its going to keep me going awhile! I feel its to soon to see any results in terms of dark circles, but my eyes definitely feel less puffy! The eye cream cost me £9.50

The next product I picked up was The Body Shop Seaweed Day Cream. I've been specifically looking for a day cream for awhile now, and this one claimed to be Mattifying. I suffer from quite oily skin around my T-zone, so a moisturiser claiming to give a matte, shine-free complexion is something I couldn't ignore. The moisturiser is of a gel-like consistency and reminds me of blancmange! If anyone remembers that! But it feels great on the skin, lovely and light weight and I feel it creates a great base for my make-up. As for keeping me shine-free I have to say my skin feels much less oily, especially on my nose! I've only used the product a few times but so far so good! The day cream cost me  £9.00 but because of the 3 for 2 offer I got it for free!

The last product I picked up is the Seaweed Night Treatment. I've never used a night treatment before and its not something i've heard a lot about, so I thought i'd give it a try! (I also needed a third product for the offer) You smooth the treatment gel onto your face after cleansing and toning and leave it on over night. Like the day cream this product claims to leave skin hydrated, clear and shine-free. I did notice that my skin was less oily this morning. I also had a spot on my cheek and this morning it was noticeably less red and angry, whether that was just timing or the product, I don't know but I'm more than happy to use this as part of my routine! The treatment gel cost me £10.00.

Thank you again for all your support! Leave any questions or requests below!

Dutyfree haul and my week in Magaluf!

Hey Lovelies

I mentioned briefly in my last blog that I was going on holiday with all my friends, I got back yesterday and thought I would share some photos of my time! I had an amazing time with my friends, we stayed in a lovely hotel (amazing considering your in Magaluf anyway haha!) We had a typical girls holiday, chilled all day and out all night. Definitely the best week of my life, i'll never forget it.
So as per usual I had a shopping list for the airport, I like to take full advantage of Duty Free. My first stop was the MAC stand. For a few weeks now I've been looking more into powders as they are something i've never really incorporated into my make up routine before, and I thought i'd treat myself for holiday and picked up the MAC mineralise skin finish natural I can't remember the exact price and the recite didn't make it back from the holiday but because of duty free I think it was around £19.

Next i wanted a new summer fragrance, about a year ago I got Marc Jacobs Daisy as a birthday present, and Im only just starting to run out and the packaging, although beautiful, is so bulky I didn't want to bring the whole bottle for the tiny bit of I have left. I'd heard mention of ESCADA's 3 summer fragrances, Sexy Graffiti, Island Kiss and Rockin Rio. So I thought this was a good chance to give them a smell. I liked all 3 of them but it was Island Kiss that caught my eye. Its got a fruity smell to it and reminds me of water mellon, but in a fresh scent. I thought it was a lovely light, fresh scent perfect for summer and a good day time scent as well! Again the price escapes me but around £28 I think (I'm awful, Sorry!)

Also a little side note which I think I was just as excited about as my actually holiday, was this box of goodies that I found waiting for me on my bed! My mum was given a huge box of rejected lush bath bombs that couldn't be sold because they were chipped or slightly broken! I can't believe it, some of them are in such good condition I wouldn't even think twice about buying them in store, one mans loss is another gain I guess! Thought i'd  also include a few sneaky snaps of my holiday too and say a Thank you because when I arrived home I realised i'd hit the 50 followers mark! Thank you guys so much for reading!

Hope you guys don't mind the more personal blogs!
Any suggestions or questions leave them bellow and i'll get back to you!
