Review | No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush

Hey Lovelies,
For ages now I have longed to try a clarisonic, (maybe just to try it!) but I don't see myself forking out the £100+ price tag any time soon! So when I spotted the Skin Cleansing Brush in boots on offer for just £15 I couldn't turn it down!
I'm quite lucky in the fact that I don't have awful skin, I get spots but I wouldn't call myself acne prone. However I felt a few months ago my skin got pretty bad and my cheeks especially suddenly hit a new level. Since then i've been quite obsessed with skincare and trying new things to try and help settle my skin down.

'This clever cleansing brush gently exfoliates and deeply cleanses the skin, removing more dirt, oil and make-up than manual cleansing alone. Easy and quick to use, discover super clean, soft, radiant and healthier looking skin in less than 60 seconds.'

My first impressions
The first time I used this I paired it with No7 foaming facial wash, big mistake. I put this on my skin first and then for some reason decided to use the cleansing brush, I ended up with facial foam everywhere! Second time round I paired it with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, which was much better, although can be a bit messy at time! I found it quite an odd sensation as it swirls your skin with the brush ( The only technical way I can think to put it!) it also pulls in your hair around your hairline so I recommend a hair band. It can feel quite abrasive, so I can easily understand why this wouldn't be recommended for sensitive or very dry skin, I think its just to harsh. The brush comes with two speed settings and I even find it to harsh on the second setting on the majority of my face. However when I had finished my face felt so clean! All traces of make up and dirt gone.

A month down the line
I've taken to using the Cleansing Brush twice to three times a week, just because I don't want to over exfoliate my skin. Since keeping to this schedule my skin has changed dramatically, whether this is down to good timing or not only time will tell. The spots I felt on my skin have cleared up almost completely, and I haven't had any real spots since then. Normally I get the odd monthly batch of spots but even now they seem more controlled and they clear up a lot quicker.

Overall
Firstly, I have only been using this a month so (although I hope not!) a lot my results could just bee good timing and I haven't been using it long enough to call it a 'wonder product', however I really feel the brush really helps work my cleanse and polish into my skin and that it has a bigger impact with the brush, along with leaving my skin feeling so much cleaner and fresher with no hassle and so quick. The only thing I wish was that it came with something to cover the brush head as to me it feels a bit unhygienic leaving it sat open, but still I love it! I think the Cleansing Brush is a brilliant cost effective alternative to the Clarisonic and I'd recommend anyone thinking of getting the Clarisonic to give this a try first!

  1. It sounds like a miracle beauty tool! I have never read any reviews so wasn't really sure what you expect, but I didn't expect it to work as well as you say it does! I'm really happy for you! I'm going through a similar skin moment - I usually have clear skin, but over the last few months my skin has decided to break out. It's so frustrating!
